## Abstract A high‐performance thin‐layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method is described for the determination of tributyltin compounds (bis(tri‐__n__‐butyltin) oxide, TBTO, and tri‐__n__‐butyltin naphthenate, TBTN) and their degradation products (dibutyltin and monobutyltin compounds). The organotin
