in the Board Room of The Franklin Institute. The manuscript, an historical document in the field of power production, is in Rudolf Diesel's handwriting and outlines his early ideas in the application of the diesel engine to railroad locomotives. Dr. Eugen Diesel, son of the inventor, in this country as a guest of the State Department and the Interdependence Council, first presented the Diesel manuscript to the Interdependence Council in recognition of its efforts in bringing about a closer understanding among the peoples of all nations, an aim of both himself and his father.
