✦ Synopsis
ZrO~2~(3Y) nano‐sized powders have been synthesized by chemical coprecipitation technique. The gelcasting‐pressing (gel‐casting and dry pressing) method and pressureless sintering were applied to fabricate Y‐TZP nanoceramics. A fully dense pellet of ZrO~2~(3Y) is obtained after sintering at 1250 °C for 2h, the reason for the good sintering behavior is believed to be both the increase in relative density and the decrease in pore size.
