Vapor phase silylation of poly(4-hydroxystyrene sulfone) (PHOSS) film was carried out with (trimethylsilyl)dimethylamine (TMSDMA) as a silylation reagent. Infrared spectroscopy was used to follow the silylation. Phenolic hydroxyl groups were trimethylsilylated, but desulfonylation of PHOSS was great
