โœฆ Synopsis

Anatase-type TiO fine powders were synthesized under hydrothermal condition at 1808C. The anatase-type structure in these powders 2 was maintained even after the calcination at 8008C. Calcined samples with higher crystallinity showed better photocatalytic performance for methylene blue decomposition.

The nanocrystalline anatase TiO 2 colloid has widely been applied in solar energy conversion, photo-degradation of organic pollutions, photochemical disinfection, processing of sensors, and papermaking. It can be obtained from the hydrolysis of titanyl organic compounds [TiO(OOCCH 3 ) 2 and Ti 2 O(O
