This study was carried out to characterize the reactivity of temperaturesensitive, protein-conjugating polymers prepared by a photopolymerization process. Polymers were based on N-isopropylacrylamide (NiPAM) and N-acryloxysuccinimide (NASI). A photoinitiator, 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenyl-acetophenone, and

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
We report on the preparation of ultralong semiconductor tellurium/crossโlinked PVA coaxial nanocables with a core 20โ30 nm in diameter and a surrounding sheath about 5โ20 nm in thickness by a simple hydrothermal process. The length of these nanocables can be up to 500โ800 ฮผm. In the present synthesis PVA was used as the reducing agent to react with Na~2~TeO~3~, and it also serves as the capping reagent and the source of the sheaths. The synergistic effects of the interaction of crossโlinked PVA with the tellurium nanowires could play an important role in the formation of the morphology of the resulting products.(ยฉ WileyโVCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
