Abstract
The composite nanoparticles of polystyrene/Fe~3~O~4~ with a shell‐core structure were prepared in the mixed system of Triton X‐100 and SDBS. The shell of the composite nanoparticles was formed by polystyrene and the core by Fe~3~O~4~ nanoparticles. The diameter of Fe~3~O~4~ nanoparticles is about 10 nm and that of the composite nanoparticles 25‐35 nm. The XRD spectra and FTIR spectra show that the enwrapping of polystyrene with Fe~3~O~4~ nanoparticles was successful.
