## Abstract PANI nanotubes with diameters of 100β150 nm with conductivities of single nanotubes as high as 30.6 SβΒ·βcm^β1^ were directly oxidized with APS in the absence of hard templates and acidic dopants. The high conductivity was shown to result from protons produced during the polymerization.

## Abstract The identification and control of a critical stage of polyaniline βnanotubeβ selfβassembly is presented, namely the granular agglomeration or growth onto nanorod templates. When the synthesis pH is held above 2.5, smooth insulating nanorods exhibiting hydrogen bonding and containing phe
## Abstract Camphor sulfonic acid (CSA) doped polyaniline (PANI) nanotubes (175 nm in outer diameter and 120 nm in inner diameter) were synthesized successfully by a selfβassembly method. It is found that the roomβtemperature conductivity of an individual PANI nanotube is 30.5 SβΒ·βcm^β1^; in partic
