โœฆ Synopsis

Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconducting films were prepared on MgO(100) single-crystal substrates by the liquid phase epitaxial (LPE) method using Bi2Sr2CaCu20x solution. X-ray diffraction measurements and scanning electron microscopy analyses revealed that films were predominantly oriented with the c-axis perpendicular to the substrate surfaces.

The as-grown film consisted of the 10 K and 80 K phases. After the post-annealing, films mainly consisted of the 80 K phase.

Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O epitaxial layers have been successfully grown on (001 ) MgO substrate by liquid phase epitaxial (LPE) technique. These superconducting films showed zero resistivity around 80 K. X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analysis results showed that the phase and composition of the gro

Superconducting thin films of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O have been deposited by KrF excimer laser ablation. The best in situ films showed a Tc o~ of 110 K and a Tcto) of 76 K. A study of the laser plume revealed the presence of two distinct regimes. The forward directed component increased with fluence and the f
