✦ Synopsis
An acrylonitrile±methyl methacrylate±sodium sulfonate acrylate tricopolymer hollow fiber membrane was prepared. The effect of composition of cast solution such as content of polymer and additives on ultrafiltration properties of membrane was reported. This AN tricopolymer hollow fiber membrane has shown good antifouling properties in an anodic electrophoretic paint system. The flux of this hollow fiber membrane was more than 2.5 Â 10 À4 m 3 /m 2 Á hr kP a and the solid content of ultrafiltration permeate was less than 0.3 wt%. It can be predicted that this AN tricopolymer hollow fiber module would be used in an anodic electrophoretic paint system. In addition, the effect of operating factors on ultrafiltration characteristics was also reported.
