โฆ Synopsis
Three methods were used for the preparation of complex barium titanate powders containing Sr, Ca, Mn and La or Pb, Ca and La, respectively: titanyl oxalate route, peroxide route, conventional solid state reaction. The powders are characterized with respect to their analytic and morphologic properties. The isothermal sintering behaviour is studied at 900, 1200, and 1320 "C. Powders prepared by the wet chemical synthesis show an excellent densification with final densities of about 97 -98%. Possible sintering mechanisms are discussed.
