The title axially dlssymmetrlc organosilicon compound 1s obtainable in optically pure form by synthesis of the racemate followed by resolution with a choral poly(trlphenylmethyl methacrylate) column.

The structure has been established by spectroscopic and single crystal X-ray dlffractlon methods.
