✦ Synopsis

Miissbauer data has been obtained on sir new, distinct tin intercalates which in addition to three others already reported in the literature comprise three distinct groups of compounds. The compounds contain tin in a single site in the +2 formal oxidation state. A singlet Mtissbauer peak was found for all of the compounds except the 2S-, totally-filled intercalates, which show quadrupole splitting. The crireria for classification of these compounds are discussed.
