✦ Synopsis
Rod-like nanocrystalline tin sul5des with di4erent compositions and phases were obtained via simple ethanol thermal reactions between tin chlorides and thioacetamide at relatively low temperature (1003C for 10 h). It is found that solvents, reaction temperatures, and trace water in the system were important factors in obtaining one-dimensional nanocrystalline tin sul5des. The reaction mechanism has also been investigated.
