β¦ Synopsis
Cyclic oligomers of tetraethyleneglycol succinate [O(CH2CH20)4.CO.(CH2)2.CO]. ,. were prepared by a ring chain reaction. The cyclic products were characterized in full. Cyclic oligomers with up to eight repeat units were fractionated using preparative gel permeation chromatography to give narrow molar mass fractions with polydispersities of 1.03. The fraction consisting of the monomeric ring only was found to crystallize readily, enabling its X-ray crystal structure to be determined. ~i:

## Abstract **Summary:** A series of poly(ether ester)s containing amide and carbamate groups as Hβbonding units and 13β50 molβ% of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) segments were prepared by polycondensation in bulk using Ti(OBu)~4~ as a catalyst. The copolymers were obtained starting from PEG/1,4βbutan
Two series of poly(ether-ester)-based bis-functional macromers terminated with acrylate groups and a well-defined number of ester bonds were synthesized. One series had a chain of 1, 3 or 5 ester bonds at both ends of the central poly(ethylene glycol) block (molecular weight, about 1000), while the
