โฆ Synopsis
Thin, uniform and adherent Ag2S films have been chemically deposited from aqueous alkaline bath using thiourea as a sulphur source. The bath temperature was varied from 8 to 55"C and EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) was used as a complexing agent. Ag2S films were characterised by XRD, optical absorption and electrical resistivity techniques. A photoelectrochemical cell n-Ag2S/1 M (NaOH-Na2S-S)/C yielded a conversion efficiency of 0.088%.
