Fetal cardiac arrhythmias are usually detected with a Doppler apparatus during the routine examination of the pregnant woman. Certain arrhythmias may cause heart failure in utero, leading to hydrops fetalis and even fetal death. These are mainly supraventricular tachycardia,' complete heart b l o ~k , ~, ~ and atrial flutter.* Correct prenatal diagnosis of the type of arrhythmia is mandatory for the following reasons.
