β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Preliminary autoradiographic and immunofluorescent evidence is presented which suggests the localization of hLHΞ², hCG and oLH within the oocytes of several mammalian species. Specificity of the response is supported by negative observations in the presence of cold hormone or antibodies to other proteins. The mechanism of action of these gonadotrophins in such a site remains to be defined.
