✦ Synopsis
The XVth conference, held in 2003 in Z ürich, Switzerland, was organized by Heinz Berke at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Z ürich with Franz Wild as the conference secretary. During this lively scientific event, many aspects of organometallic chemistry, from fundamentals to applications, including biomedical aspects, were covered.
Following a tradition established in 1999 with the XIIIth meeting held at Lisbon, the editors of Applied Organometallic Chemistry have invited the authors to publish their contributions in a special issue of this journal. From the large amount of outstanding papers presented at the conference, a number of significant papers were selected in order to highlight the progress that has been achieved in the various branches of organometallic chemistry research in recent years.
