✦ Synopsis

This issue contains eleven of the papers that were presented and discussed at the Ein Gedi Workshop on Combustion. In their totality they present the flavor of a meeting held in February 1988 that evaluated certain aspects of combustion research. Thus, while some of the papers are reviews of ongoing work, others are more general. In many cases, new results of archival value have also been presented.
