✦ Synopsis

in two main bioproducts. which have been purified by cbromatographic processes ad identified by spectroscopic me-am. The first compound is the Sa-hydroxyderivative of prednisoloue and might be formed by A simple hydration of the A4 double bond. The latter rises from a complex rearrangement. It is rather unstable and undergoes oxidation by atmospheric oxygen to a hydrcqwoxide which slowly decays to the corresponding hydroxyderivative.
