โฆ Synopsis
It is shown that the new phenomenon of predissociation induced by an external electric field can also be induced by collisions. A comparison is made with the collisional deactivation of H(ZS) and D(X) atoms in the atomic fields of added gases.
Induced predissociation

A method is described for evaluating electric fields induced by ELF magnetic fields into electrically inhomogeneous, low-conductivity (<5 S/m) structures. It is applied to cylinders and spheres, and numerical results are given for electrical properties that are representative of some tissues, or of
Fluorescence excitation spectra of the QKb (n= l-4) vibronic bands of the CzHl A state were measured under various magnetic fields up to 10 kG. It was found that external magnetic fields quench fluorescence remarkably from the levels near the predissociation threshold. From the observed vibrational-
