✦ Synopsis
One experience shared by all treatment programs providing services to a heterogeneous client population is that some of the program's participants do not benefit from the treatment. It could be argued, therefore, that among the objectives of any treatment program there should be the objective of reducing the percentage of participants who do not benefit from the treatment. One step in achieving such an objective should be to conduct research relevant to treatment outcome.
