Analytical expressions are presented for the relative permittivity and the loss factor of cereal grains as functions of bulk density, moisture content and frequency. Although models were developed by statistical techniques, terms of the expressions were selected for their physical significance. Valu

โฆ Synopsis
Morphological models of textures are available to simulate the geometry of two phase composites and to predict their macroscopic physical behaviour: for random mosaics built on a random tessellation, Boolean models, Dead Leaves models, or combinations of these models, third order correlation functions, can be calculated theoretically; this is used to predict their macroscopic complex dielectric permittivity, using the derivations of D.J. Bergrnan and G. Milton, and to look for optimal textures with respect to the material behaviour.

We characterize fracture and effective stress-strain graphs in 2D random composites subjected to a uniaxial in-plane uniform strain. The fibers are arranged randomly in the matrix. Both fibers and matrix are isotropic and elastic-brittle. We conduct this analysis numerically using a very fine two-di
