โฆ Synopsis
The UNIFAC model, developed for bmary systems alkanes with n-alcohols. ketones, esters and ethers, and for ternary n-alcohol-n-alcohol-n-alkane systems, gives satisfactory predIctions of excess enthalples of murmg for the systems studted INTROLlUCTlON Analytical group solution models ave a method to predtct thermodynamic propertles of hquld mixtures from hmlted experunental data on reference systems Ratchff et al [l 1,13] developed an analytical group solution model for the predlctlon of excess enthalples of mlxmg of mixtures usmg the W&on equation The engmeermg utilty of UNIFAC (UNIQUAC Functional-group Actlvlty Coefficients) group contnbutlon method has been shown 111 estlmatlon of phase equlhbna under normal pressuresQ, 151 It 1s based on the UNIQUAC (Umversal Quasi-Chenucal) equation presented by Abrams and Prausmtz [ 11 We present an extension of the UNIFAC method for the prediction of excess enthalpy of mlxmg The method was tested for bmary mixtures of n-alcohol-alkane, ketone--n-alkane, ester--n-alkane and ether--n-alkane, and ternary systems of n-alcohol-n-alcohol-n-alkane ANALYTICAL GROUP SOLUTION MODEL FOR EXCESS ENTaALw OF MIXING
