In the present study we use the hygrometric method for the determination of relative humidities of aqueous electrolyte solutions. The relative humidities of KCl(aq), Na 2 SO 4 (aq), and NaNO 3 (aq) have been measured for different molalities and at temperatures from (278.15 to 323.15) K. The data on

β¦ Synopsis
In this work, a modified mean spherical approximation (MSA) model has been used to estimate osmotic coefficient and water activity in electrolyte solutions. The diameters of anion and cation are considered as linearly dependent on their densities. The results of this model show that it is suited for estimating the osmotic coefficient of electrolytes in aqueous solutions. Also, water activity in electrolyte solutions was calculated by the modified MSA model. The average absolute deviation error for estimated water activity shows the applicability of this model for estimating the water activity in aqueous solutions.
