โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

This short communication presents the predicted heats of combustion of 308 organosilicon intermediates. The net and gross heats of combustion were predicted using two previously developed empirical equations. These intermediates cover most of the important organosilicon compounds that are manufactured or used in the silicone industry. Copyright ยฉ 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Empirical equations have been developed to predict the gross and the net heats of combustion of organosilicon compounds based on the atomic contribution method. The average absolute percent error is 1.4%&1.5% for the predictions. In addition, an empirical equation has been developed to predict the l

## Abstract The heats of combustion of 75 pure organic polymers with various chemical classes were used to develop empirical equations for predicting the gross and net heats of combustion of organic polymers. The equations were developed using atomic contribution and multiple linear regression meth

Predictions have been obtained for the flow, combustion, and heat transfer within a refinery process heater. The flow and combustion in the highly three-dimensional geometry are handled by a numerical solution technique and physical modeling which have an established two-dimensional predictive histo
