Isospin and flavor SU(3) set stringent bounds on penguin pollution in B 0 (t) β†’ ρ + ρ -, providing a theoretically precise determination of Ξ± ≑ Ο† 2 , Ξ± = (91 Β± 7 exp Β± 3 th ) β€’ . Isospin breaking in a sum rule for B β†’ KΟ€ rates is shown to be suppressed. A similar sum rule holds for CP asymmetries in B β†’ KΟ€. Violation of these sum rules would be evidence for an anomalous Ξ”I = 1 piece in H eff .
