✦ Synopsis
While all the contributions are excellent and criticism is not required and comparisons may be invidious, .yet two sections of the volume stand out for sheer meritnamely, Mr. Lockhart-Mummery's chapter on the colon and Mr. Henry Thompson's chapter on the rectum and anus.
This volume should be of real value to the general surgeon, the senior registrar, and the countless postgraduates both at home and abroad who are reading for the Fellowship of the College of Surgeons. This is a work of which British surgeons may well be proud.
