The advent of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) has enabled millions of infertile couples around the world to have their biological children. Dr Patrick Steptoe used the unique technique of vaginal collection of oocytes after gonadotropin stimulation followed by cryopreservation and transferred in the subsequent cycle. This book consists of 39 chapters, which include mild ovarian stimulation, merits and demerits of in vitro fertilization in batches, agonist in art cycle, difficulties during embryo transfer, personalized luteal phase support in assisted reproductive technology, endometrial preparation for frozen embryo transfer, endometrial markers of receptivity, prevention of complications in ART, OHSS and its management, anesthesia in ART, surgery before ART, and empty follicle syndrome. To make IVF procedures safe and efficacious, there has been a recent interest in mild stimulation, single embryo transfer and all freeze strategies. This book also provides evidence-based information on these aspects of ART.
