โฆ Synopsis
It is of interest to report on this Colloquium not only for its own sake, but also as a reflection of the developing interest in ergonomics in West Germany. The Colloquium was organised by the Institut fiir Unfallforschung (Institute for Accident Research), which is a section of Technischer 0berwachungs-Verein Rheinland e.V. -an organisation primarily concerned with the implementation of safety standards in German industry. Among the staff of the Institute are several ergonomists and psychologists. Typical of the Institute's current work is a project concerned with human operator functions in the control of nuclear power stations.
