In this paper, we investigate the adhesive contact between a rigid cylinder of radius R and a graded elastic half-space with a Young's modulus varying with depth according to a power-law, E ΒΌ E 0 Γ°y=c 0 Γ k Γ°0 < k < 1Γ, while the Poisson's ratio m remains constant. The results show that, for a given

β¦ Synopsis
Series representations for the average magnetization M are obtained from the known analytic solutions of the Bean model. It is found that at relatively high fields,/l~ has the same functional dependence on H as JΒ’. A power law behavior of M is found experimentally for YBCO powder samples, which indicates JΒ’ has a similar power law dependence.
