## Abstract Power characteristics of an unbaffled aerated agitated vessel with unsteadily forward‐reverse rotating impellers, ie a new type of gas–liquid agitator named β€˜AJITER’, treating viscous Newtonian liquids were studied experimentally. Measurements were first made on the agitation torque, ie
