In this talk I summarize the two-loop analysis of the 1/Q power corrections to jet-shape variables done in collaboration with Yu. Dokshitzer, A. Lucenti and G. Salam. We show that the one-loop result is modified by a rescaling factor (the Milan factor) which is the same for the class of jet-shape distributions including thrust, C-parameter, invariant jet masses, jet broadening and for the energy-energy correlation.

We calculate running coupling corrections for the lowest-order gluon production cross section in high energy hadronic and nuclear scattering using the BLM scale-setting prescription. In the final answer for the cross section the three powers of fixed coupling are replaced by seven factors of running
