✦ Synopsis

We propose a method for testing the assumption of independent censoring in right censored survival data. This method includes extra data collection by the subsequent follow-up of a subset of censored subjects. A score test statistic is derived within the framework of a Cox proportional hazards model with a timedependent covariate. In this paper we focus on the power calculation for the score test under proportional hazards alternatives. Comparison of the observed with the theoretical power shows that the latter is somewhat lower than the former.

## Abstract We present a score for testing association in the presence of linkage for binary traits. The score is robust to varying degrees of linkage, and it is valid under any ascertainment scheme based on trait values as well as under population stratification. The score test is derived from a m

## Abstract The power of Chow, linear, predictive failure and cusum of squares tests to detect structural change is compared in a two‐variable random walk model and a once‐for‐all parameter shift model. In each case the linear test has greatest power, followed by the Chow test. It is suggested that
