A physical-mathematical model of superdeep penetration of particles into metal targets taking into account the strength properties of target material is proposed. Based on this model, the problem of superdeep penetration of tungsten particles into a steel target is solved for the first time.

Based on Von Mises yield criterion and elasto-plastic constitutive relationship, a spacial axisymmetric finite element model of laser irradiating a metal plate is established. Taking nonlinear thermal and mechanical properties into account, temperature and stress fields generated by the continuous-w
Mathematical simulation of impact-induced deep penetration of a rigid spherical particle into an elastic-plastic medium is performed; the law of particle motion and the distance covered by the particle are determined. In solving the boundary-value problem, the principle of virtual velocities and str
