โฆ Synopsis
ANALYTICA CHIMICA ACTA EXPERIMENTAL C.P. chemrcnls and conductivity water were used to prepare ali reagent solutions. D&ails have been described elsewhere'. Current-potential curves weru recorded automatically usmg a Sargent model XXI Polarograph with rates of change of potcntiat of 0.074 and 0.148 V/mtn. Current-potential curves arc not corrected for residual cnrrcnts. Potcntml mcasurcmcnts wcrc made with a Locds and Northrup Students Potcntiometcr. Potentials are rcfcrrcd to the saturated calomel clcctroda (S.C.E.). All measurements ware mado at 25.0 f o.I". Platmum and tungsten clcctrodcs wcru prepared by scaling a short length (cu. r/2 inch) of 24gauge wire into the end of a lo-inch length of soft glass tubing. Electrical conncction was made by filling the tuba with mercury. The electrodes were rotated with a synchronous motor at 600 r.p.m.
