Abstract
For the evaluation of potential constants for the nonplanar vibrations of B~3~O~3~(O^−^)~3~ which possesses a cyclic structure with the symmetry point group D~3h~, the Wilson's group theoretical method has been applied. An orthonormalized set of symmetry coordinates satisfying the transformation properties has been constructed. The secular equations obtained with the help of F and G matrices have been solved to obtain two major and three interaction constants. The interaction constants are not found to be much significant.
