## Abstract Mitochondrial potassium channels are believed to contribute to cytoprotection of injured cardiac and neuronal tissues. The following potassium channels have been described in the inner mitochondrial membrane: the ATP‐regulated potassium channel, the large conductance Ca^2+^‐activated po
