High plasma concentrations of triglyceride-rich lipoprotein are associated with an increased risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). In the postprandial state, there is a large increase in chylomicron and very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) concentrations. The accumulation of potentially atherogenic
