## Abstract The microstructure and its effect on the friction behavior of a medical grade wrought cobaltβchromiumβmolybdenum (CoCrMo) alloy for surgical implants were studied in this work. In particular, the effects of compression and carbon (C) content on the above characteristics were analyzed. I
