Electrophoretic variants of the glycolytic enzyme phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK) in the domestic chicken, Gallus domesticus, were found to be inherited in an autosomal manner. No sperm-specific isozyme of PGK exists in the chicken. This is in direct contrast to previous results from therian (placenta
