✦ Synopsis
Positron annihilation lifetimes and Doppler-broadened annihilation lines have been measured in solid Ln(aa),, where Ln = La, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm and aa=CH,COCHCOCHx. The results point to the formation of positronium in all complexes except that of europium. This result is attributed to a charge-transfer process ligand+metal in the europium compound and metal-tligand in the others,
