✦ Synopsis
2-Aminoacridone derivatives of complex glycans, released from hen ovalbumin, have been chromatographed on a hydrophilic interaction column and fractions collected for analysis by a matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer operated in the positive and negative ion modes. Such flexibility in detection has proved to be very useful in the preliminary characterization of a wide range of neutral and sialylated oligosaccharides covalently bound to this glycoprotein.
