The solution-mediated syntheses, single crystal structures, and physical properties (TGA, IR) of RbZn 2 (HPO 4 ) 2 (H 2 PO 4 ) • 2H 2 O and RbZn(HPO 4 )(H 2 PO 4 ) • H 2 O are reported. RbZn 2 (HPO 4 ) 2 (H 2 PO 4 ) • 2H 2 O is a new noncentrosymmetric layered phase built up from ZnO 6 , ZnO 4 , and
