## Abstract A reactive compatibilizer, styrene‐maleic anhydride (SMA) was used to compatibilize the blends of polystyrene (PS) and ethylene‐vinyl acetate‐vinyl alcohol (EVAOH), which was synthesized from ethylene‐vinyl acetate (EVA) using transesterification reaction. The compatibilized blends with
