✦ Synopsis
Bi-graft copolymers of poly(methyl methacrylate)-graft-[poly(ethylene oxide); poly(propylene oxide)] were synthesized by radical copolymerization of two macromonomers, viz. poly(ethylene oxide) methacrylate and poly(propylene oxide) methacrylate, with methyl methacrylate. The macromonomers were prepared by reaction of methacryloyl chloride with poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(propylene oxide) respectively. The copolymers were characterized by GPC, VPO, i.r. and ~H-NMR. Thermal and mechanical properties were examined and their properties were compared with monograft copolymers of poly(methyl methacrylate-g-ethylene oxide) and poly(methyl methacrylate-g-propylene oxide).

## Abstract We describe the preparation of amphiphilic diblock copolymers made of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(hexyl methacrylate) (PHMA) synthesized by anionic polymerization of ethylene oxide and subsequent atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of hexyl methacrylate (HMA). The first
Thermo-optical analysis of solution cast mixtures of poly (ethylene oxide) (POE) and poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) has been carried out. Melting point depression was observed for increasing proportion of PMMA in the mixture. An analytical expression appropriate to the crystallineamorphous polyme
