Abstract
Hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (1) reacts with SbCl~5~ or BCl~3~ to produce long chain polymers, whereas AlCl ^3^ gives phosphazenyl cations. TiCl~4~ does not react and boric acid esters lead to an exchange of one ester group for one chlorine. ^31^P NMR‐spectra were used to identify the reaction products. The molecular weights of the polymeric compounds were measured.
