β¦ Synopsis
Abstraet--Polyhydrazides with parabanic structures were prepared by polycondensation between a new monomer containing a preformed parabanic ring, viz. 1,3 p(bis-chloroformylphenyl) parabanic acid and dihydrazides. By thermal cyclization with polyphosphoric acid, the polyhydrazides were converted to poly(l,3,4-oxadiazole)s with parabanic structures. The films obtained from these polymers exhibit electrical insulating properties and good thermal stability.

## Abstract New polyhydrazides and poly(amidehydrazide)s bearing redoxβactive carbazole and triphenylamine units were prepared. The resulting poly(1,3,4βoxdiazole)s and poly(amideβ1,3,4βoxadiazole)s had high glassβtransition temperatures (288β330βΒ°C) and high thermal stability. The dilute solutions
Electrochemical doping processes of aromatic poly( 1,3,4-oxadiazole)s in acetonitrile/Bu,NBF, have been studied to characterize the charge and discharge properties of these polymers. Cyclic voltammograms were measured of thin poly(arylene-1,3,4-oxadiazole) films on glassy carbon, Pt and IT0 glasses.
