✦ Synopsis
The structure of the title compound, {[Mn 2 Mo(CN) 8 -(C 4 H 4 N 2 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]Á3H 2 O} n , is built up of Mo IV atoms in a square-antiprismatic coordination, which are linked to distorted octahedrally coordinated Mn II atoms through cyanide bridges to form a three-dimensional structure. The Mn II atoms are also bridged by the pyrimidine ligands.
